Oh my God, my fingers have been just flying across this keyboard for thirty solid minutes, burning through a chapter with Talia and Jack, trying to get it all down, and beat the clock before it turned midnight. And having Livin’ La Vida Loca playing in those last few minutes sure helped, too.ย ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I didn’t make it through the whole scene like I wanted, but this damned keyboard has racing stripes on it now. Wow, that was so incredibly cool and intense even though my left hand is really hurting right now. I love moments like that when the story’s so intense and it’s just pouring out through your fingers and you’re trying to hold onto it. Trying to dump it all on the page. Especially if you’re racing against the clock. Feels like you’re running the 100m dash, lungs and heart are pumping in time with your legs and your feet. Everything rushing past in a blur and all you can see is the finish line and the next step. Gives me chills. ๐Ÿ™€

And then I looked up and I was at 9,000 words and man, it felt so good I let out a whoop and shouted Yessss!! Scared the hell out of Bella. She gave me that look, like, “Seriously, dude???” and then went back to being her normal unconcerned Persian loaf.

Feel like my whole body’s just vibrating right now. Man, that was so awesome!!

And that’s it from me. Tomorrow, I’m gunning for 25K after I shoot past 20K which should come fast. The new competition is close to beginning. But Jack might have to deal with a few more assassin demons before he and Talia get there.

What’s love without a few assassin demons, am I right?

G’nighters!

Still a little behind my output on book 2, but still moving forward. Hoping to at least hit 8K for the day and break 16K.

Still have to deal with some paperwork tomorrow and then Saturday night is the Zombie Run. My first in-person “Run” event. I hope I can eventually do a real run, but gotta work up to it.

I’m still amazed that just 8 months ago, I had a long term handicapped spot and couldn’t even walk into my building without it (at work). Years of this because of back and knee issues. I can now walk 2 miles or better without high-powered meds, without a limp, and without my back laying me out flat for a week. I decided to literally walk away from all of it when I walked away from my old life in June, meds and everything. I can’t wait to surprise my brother when he visits next month. He won’t believe it. The weather here has made such a huge difference for a lot of my pain. And getting away from some mold issues really helped too.

Anyway, back at it…

Okay, feeling better after breaking 3K and pounding the keys through lunch. And breaking into a 5-digit total word count. Gotta run and deal with reality. Which always gets in my way. That and gravity.

Be back…

And the universe is laughing at me today and my Dare. As you can see by my low word count. Woke up late. To cat food bowls turned over and the cat box needing attention. Then Kelsey got between my desk and the window. And horked up everywhere! Had to open the balcony door and wedge myself between the desk with paper towels and one arm to clean up the mess. Then paperwork I forgot that needs to be finished. Gotta vote. Forgot it’s packet day for the Zombie Run (in my case walk). And it’s bundle day and I have a brand new novella out at Storybundle.com. More about that later…
