Holy Cows in Space! I was really fighting the clock to hit 7K tonight. But I did it. Really didn’t think I’d get past 6K today. And this book is really close to 35K. I think 85K is probably going to be the right number this time.

And I am one tired zombie. Didn’t get home until almost 9:30 PM. And no internet…ggggggrrrrr. It was out for 2 hours, but it’s back now. And of course, I had a bunch of things I needed to look up. Used my phone though, so I survived.

The run was a blast! Had a lot of fun walking around the lake at night. And got a way cool t-shirt and my second finisher’s medal. My first one was getting lonely. This one has zombies on it. How cool is that? Really pushed myself this time and I think I had a decent finish (for an out of shape noob).

Got Jack and Talia to the competition house. Things are ready to go nuts as the filming begins and Jack and Talia meet their competition. I’ll be happy if I hit 6K tonight. Gotta get ready to make like a zombie.

Hectic morning with lots to do. Feeling a little nervous about tonight’s Zombie Run. Hoping I don’t look stupid or take forever to do my 1 mile.

As you can see from my word count, I’m closing fast on 30K. Expecting a low word count though because I’ll be gone most of the evening. Probably won’t hit 35K until Sunday. But I may write past midnight tonight to get a jump on Sunday’s word count. We’ll see how much of a zombie I am (yes, I went there).

Had to do some brainstorming too, this morning, working through the aspects of the story’s new couple’s challenges. With Little Miss Fluffybutt demanding pets in my lap. And then on my desk as I tried to scribble down some notes. Cats, making writers’ jobs hard since the dawn of time. Wanted to keep the challenges along the same theme as book 1 & 2’s competition events. What’s a competition without angels of death, demons, and hellhounds getting in the way?

Back at it…and the laundry, bleh…
