Can’t believe I pulled out another 10K today. And it just keeps going!! Yikes! Gonna need more words to write the ending. Just closed out another chapter. And wrote Talia’s darkest moment. Final challenge and the masked ball await.

But there’s a dark end coming on the heels of the happy tie ups. An ending that will bring Jack and Talia to the breaking point. And give them another book, so I don’t know what they’re complaining about. Like it’s the end of the world or something. Oh, wait. It kind of is.

I think I’ve got another 10K or so of book left to write. Guess it’s gonna go to 110K or so. So, by Tuesday, I think I’ll be able to write the ending. Wow, I totally did not see this book going so long. Really thought I’d close it at 85K.

I’m just not going to be happy when I write the end on this book. Knowing what happens at the end, I just have to write the rest of Talia and Jack’s story. I’m only halfway through my 30 day of Dare. There’s two weeks left. Guess I’m starting Book 3 on Wednesday. Who knew?

G’nighters!

Ready to start Chapter 34. Gonna have to kick some major butt to hit 95K tonight. Wimped out on the break for steps tonight. Gonna push through and see how much I can write before tomorrow’s fun.

Loving the thoughts of the awesome license photo I’m gonna carry around for 8 years (seriously???) after not having a bloody haircut since February. All you see is face mask and hair. Thanks, Turd boy (yes, I’m talking to you, Trump) for making normal life impossible! Just another sweet reminder of 2020 to carry around in my wallet for almost a decade. Gonna need a lawnmower to trim my hair. I had bangs once…llllooooonnnnng gone. Two more inches and I can literally sit on my hair. That’s gonna be fun. And they don’t make enough hair clips to tame my crazy hair. Remember the days when you didn’t look like you’d been marooned on a desert island for years? Pepperidge Farms remembers! I know, shut up and have a fucking Milano. Ooooh….milaaaaaanos…

I really need to put out an AstroTurf mat in front of my condo door, so I can still tell people to get off my lawn.

Anyway…back at it…

Just hit 90K.

But it was a struggle because I discovered that my car title isn’t among my important papers. Tore through tubs and boxes, looking everywhere. And the fire-proof box in my closet. To find that Kelsey had horked up two hairballs all over the floor. Sigh.

So, I rush-ordered a replacement title. Printed a copy from Indiana’s site, but most likely a wasted trip tomorrow. And then had to get on the phone with my insurance company to get new cards and after time on hold, discovered that the policy had to be rewritten and signed before tomorrow. More time lost. The new rate is over twice what I paid in Indiana.

Had no choice but to sign it. My monthly payment more than doubled. Already ran some new quotes online and will be switching insurance ASAP. More fun. But enough about my hobbies…

Anyway, a little frazzled right now about the money…like everyone else on the planet. Yeah, I know it’s not just me. Everybody’s having the same kind of fun, it’s 2020, the world’s on fire, suck it up, and deal with it. I think Char and I might need to have another chat…

Just nudged the needle across 88K. Got 90K in sight. Just started Chapter 31 with Talia battling something demonic. Something I didn’t know was about to happen…definitely a weird, icky kind of surprise. Running with it.

And it’s raining consequences as all the balls in the air are tumbling down. And things are unraveling like old mummy linen. Getting deliciously messy as this book careens toward its darkest moment.

The end is near. And dammit, I have stuff to do tomorrow. I think I will finish this book by Tuesday. But I don’t have anything planned for Tuesday. I might just stay up Monday night until it’s done. Can’t wait to see how this book ends, because right now, stuff’s happening that I hadn’t planned.
